Professional Regulation Initiative
The Professional Regulation Initiative investigates the complex relationship between legal professional regulation and access to justice. Launched as a cross-jurisdictional research partnership with the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (University of London), this initiative seeks to bring together experts and institutional partners from Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia.
This project responds to an urgent global need: understanding how professional regulation can either inhibit or enhance the accessibility of legal services. Early work has focused on establishing an international roundtable for sustained dialogue, collaborative agenda-setting, and the design of future research programs. It is hoped these efforts will lay the foundation for productive scholarship and transformative reform.
