Activities
Our Work at a Glance
The activities of the BC Access to Justice Centre for Excellence are organized into three pillars:
Labs, Initiatives, and Projects
Each activity drives our mission in distinct but connected ways.
Labs
Labs are long-term, interdisciplinary research hubs supported through core funding. They serve as foundational spaces for sustained inquiry and innovation.
Initiatives
Initiatives are medium-term efforts that advance thematic priorities and knowledge mobilization. Supported through a mix of core and grant funding, initiatives often serve as bridges between research, policy, and practice.
Projects
Projects are shorter-term, grant-funded undertakings that respond to emerging issues or specific research opportunities. They offer flexibility and focus, often piloting new ideas or supporting targeted investigations.
