Valerie Le Blanc joins ACE as its new Research & Education Coordinator

We are pleased to welcome Valerie Le Blanc as ACE’s Research and Education Coordinator. Valerie previously served as Legal Educator on ACE’s A2J Education Initiative project.

Valerie is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Victoria, Faculty of Law. She has a strong professional background in legal education and access to justice in the non-profit, government, and law reform sectors. Her research experience includes leading and supporting provincial and national law reform initiatives on access to legal services, child protection, elder law, and employment/labour matters. Before her work in professional legal education and academia, Valerie practiced at a civil litigation firm and worked for several years as a Staff Lawyer with the BC Law Institute and the Canadian Centre for Elder Law.

Valerie graduated from UVIC Law in 2010 and holds a philosophy degree from the University of Toronto. She is a recipient of the Ann Roberts Humanitarian Award (2009) and received her Certificate in Elder Law from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2021.

We look forward to Valerie’s work to support ACE’s operations and advance its mandate to research, educate, and convene the community around access to justice topics.
